Holy Spirit is saying to her through poetry.
nothing is impossible - yes
we can
I’m
currently in New York taking some time out to rest
and reflect and I couldn’t have been here at
a better time. History was made with the first African
American President being elected.
I have been encouraged, blessed and challenged as
I watched voters queue, in some cases for hours to
cast their important vote.
News reports flooded the television with clips of
both candidates and of the ordinary people that wanted
their say and wanted change. I watched the young and
old vote, some for the first time and others with
their children desiring to set a good example for
them.
At around 11.00pm on Tuesday 4th November we heard
the news, a young man whose father was a goat herder
who had the audacity to believe for change is now
ready for the White house – the President of
the United States of America.
Why am I sharing all of this? Because whatever you
are believing God for, surely, this is a testimony
of someone not allowing the past to dictate their
future, someone who despite untold barriers decided
that it was worth the hard work, it was worth confronting
the critics and the pessimists to see the change he
believes America is ready for.
I want to encourage you - your background does not
have to dictate your future, your class, race, gender,
education, economic status or any other obstacles
the enemy would want to throw at you is not an obstacle,
it’s just a hurdle for you to jump over and
keep running. I’m challenged to stay in this
race that is not for the swift but for those that
will endure – I’m continuing to dream
bigger dreams for the Kingdom of God.
Friends, I know this to be true whatever you are
expecting, praying or believing for according to His
Word, “with God nothing will be impossible”.
