walk by faith!
Do
you want what Abraham had? Then you must do what
Abraham did. He chose to believe God against all
odds; he hoped against all hope and then he became
the father of many nations". "He did not
waver at the promises of God through unbelief, but
was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.
What are you afraid to trust God for? "Faith
is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence
of things unseen". The bible says, "Ask
and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall
find, knock and the door will be opened to you".
But you must ask in faith, for that is what pleases
God. Many times we don't get what we desire because
we ask with the wrong motives or we ask for the
wrong things. James 4:3 says, "We ask and do
not receive because we ask amiss". If you haven’t
received some things you have been praying perhaps
you need to check your heart? Why do I want this
thing? Is it because I genuinely need it or because
somebody else has it?
What do you need? Is it a house? Then ask for a
house and not the deposit for a house; if it is
financial independence ask for a God-inspired idea
not a pay rise; if it is money to pay of debt ask
Him to cancel the debt; if it is fulfilment ask
Him for purpose. Be specific, for our God is given
to detail!
God is not a respecter of persons but He is a respecter
of faith. None of us have yet had to wait 25 years
for the manifestation of God's promises. Abraham
was able to hold onto the promises of God through
faith and his faith brought glory to God. Your circumstances
might say this is not possible but God says "all
things are possible to them that believe".
Your faith excites God. If you want to do great
things for God, you will have to exercise great
faith.
Don't be moved by what you see, for what you see
is temporary and subject to change. To walk with
God you need must walk by faith and not by what
you see, feel and can touch! The disciples saw a
little boy with 5 loaves and 2 fishes, Christ saw
an opportunity for the manifestation of God’s
power.
Let the word of God be the final authority in your
life, and only then will you experience the full
magnitude of God's goodness and the glory of His
power.
