Grantly
Starting out his working life as a yacht builder,
Lee Grant (aka Grantly) moved into radio in
1985. He became a gospel presenter in 1997,
the same year that he became a Christian. This
happened when his girlfriend, now his wife,
invited him to a christening and he met the
pastor of the church. Two weeks later, he started
attending that church, and was baptised four
months later and says that it was down to the
warm, friendly atmosphere.
Learning his radio skills (such as presenting
and editing) after working as a volunteer for
Guys Hospital radio, he is currently on talkGospel.com
between 12 – 6 pm Monday to Friday and
Saturday 1 – 6 pm (GMT). In 2002, Grantly
was spotted hosting a show case which led to him
having his own programme on Revelation TV.
2004 sees Grantly jointly hosts the Straight
Up Show on Premier Radio, which airs each Saturday
evening between 6 – 7 pm (GMT) on
www.premier.org.uk, 1305,
1314, 1332, MW, Sky 873, NTL 886 and free view
725.
Grantly has always had a passion for urban life
styles and what he could do to help build the
Kingdom. As a result, he launched his gospel
sound rig, Brothers in Christ (B.I.C). B.I.C
aims to recruit other like-minded Ministers/DJ’s
who share in the same vision to bring about
positive and effective change. By staging various
events we, have managed to evangelise to our
present day youth in modern day terms, using
the sound rig and the Word of God. |
Tito
Carless Ever since Tito was saved in
1988 at sixteen, he began spending his money on
gospel music, which made him very popular amongst
his friends for playing them out at parties and
weddings.Tito got his first break in radio back
in 1999 as a station assistant with Grantly on
Fusion Radio, formerly known as FLR, and helped
to produce the gospel show 'Postive Vibes'. Producing
and presenting always interested Tito and an opportunity
for presenting came up.
After four years with Fusion, Tito joins Grantly
on the talkGospel.com team presenting the 1800
- 2300 show and he specialises in R'n'B and hip
hop.Tito is married with three girls who keep
him occupied, but in his spare time, he plays
football and plays percussion and the drums as
part of the team at his church. |
Oracle:
Da Urban Evangelist
1995 The New Era!! At the age of 19 Jesus stepped
into my life and showed me nuff love and since
then I haven't been able to keep it to myself.
I looked at relevant ways of getting the gospel
across, school assemblies, urban concerts, RE/PSHE
lessons and through community radio stations.
I started dropping gospel tunes at friend's weddings
and birthdays in ‚96 and then on two community
radio stations in June '00. I love playing good
music which makes people get their praise on through
Hip Hop, RnB, Ragga, and Garage. My vision is
to make Church relevant for the da youngsters
with an urban feel, if they won't come to church
then let‚s take the church to them in the
forms of clubs and let the Word of God through
music change peoples lives. I am married to a
beautiful and wonderful wife called Angie with
2 Children and live in NW London.
God given talents: worship Leader, singer, rapper,
MC, and communicating the gospel and working with
the youth. |
